President of the Kazakhstan Association of Reproductive Medicine, Professor Vyacheslav Lokshin spoke about how pregnant women can protect themselves from CVI and whether they can be vaccinated.

- You need to enter pregnancy healthy and protected, and only a vaccine can protect you, mankind has not come up with anything more effective. In 3-4 weeks after the completion of vaccination and the production of antibodies, you can enter into pregnancy. Moreover, vaccinated women give birth to children who also have antibodies, they are transmitted and protect the child. Antibodies have also been found in breast milk, which supports the health of the newborn. When planning a family, both mom and dad and everyone around them must be vaccinated. All observations have proven that vaccination before pregnancy does not affect reproductive function in any way, the coronavirus negatively affects it,'' the reproductive doctor emphasized.

The other day, the head of the Ministry of Health announced that it is planned to bring Pfizer to Kazakhstan to vaccinate children from 12 to 18 years old, as well as pregnant and lactating women. Delivery is expected by the end of 2021.
