IN ATYRAU CITY THE NUMBER OF SCHOOL STUDENTS IS INCREASED BY 5 THOUSAND ANNUAL
This was stated at a meeting of the board for summing up the results of the quality of education in the period 2018-2021.
Deputy akim of the region Bakytgul Khamenova took part in the meeting of educators.
The head of the city education department, Faruza Shangereeva, highlighted such issues as the participation of students in subject Olympiads and competitions of scientific projects, the results of the UNT, and the legal protection of minors.
- The number of students increases annually by an average of 5 thousand. If in the 2017-2018 academic year there were 57 schools in the city, then in the 2021-2022 academic year there are 62 secondary schools. However, if we take averaged calculations, over the past 3 years, the quality of education has grown slowly, - said F. Shangereeva.
It should be mentioned that the Roadmap for the development of education in the Atyrau region for 2021-2023 was adopted.
The project covers 50 schools in the region, including 21 schools in the city of Atyrau. Within the framework of the project, based on the results of studies carried out in schools, the main factors that negatively affect the quality of education were identified.
“For example, the skills of working with students with special needs and low-performing students, the organization of practical classes, need to be improved. Students are not motivated to acquire knowledge. The lack of a comfortable environment for students is also a big problem,” said Speaker Faruza Shangereeva.
Summing up the meeting, the deputy akim of the region Bakytgul Khamenova drew attention to topical issues of the industry, instructed to strengthen the provision of methodological assistance to teachers to improve the quality of education, to take comprehensive measures in this direction.
For your information, 62 schools function in the city of Atyrau. In 31 schools, instruction is conducted in Kazakh, in 2 - in Russian, in 29 schools, students receive knowledge in Kazakh and Russian.
